Australian Skin Face Body introduces the PICO Genesis enlighten III. Using latest technology, the new laser is designed to target skin concerns such as pigmentation, uneven skin tone and sun damage. It’s also a superior tattoo removal system.
Chosen by Plastic Surgeon and owner of Australian Skin Face Body Clinics, Mr Ian Holten, the PICO Genesis enlighten III is a breakthrough 2-in-1 laser procedure to revitalise the skin.
The first in Victoria to have the technology, and indeed one of the few Skin & Laser Clinics in Australia, the device has been designed to give clients who have experienced negative or unsatisfactory results from other lasers, the results they are after.
What can the PICO Genesis treat?
The PICO Genesis targets enlarged pores, uneven skin texture and pigmentation, offering the latest in anti-ageing treatments. It can help manage melasma, hyperpigmentation and sun spots providing patients with a reduction in facial pigmentation while brightening and smoothing out the complexion.
Treating Melasma & Pigmentation
In the past, melasma has been difficult to treat. It’s a skin condition that causes brown to grey-brown patches on the skin typically occurring on the cheeks, bridge of the nose, forehead, chin and able the upper lip. Common during pregnancy, melasma is often referred to as “the mask of pregnancy” (chloasma). Triggered by hormones, sometimes the patches will fade after pregnancy, however for some women, melasma remains. Birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy can also trigger melasma as can UV light from the sun.
Many people dislike the way melasma makes their skin look and some women simply cover it up with make-up. However, with the PICO Genesis, melasma can now be managed.
Because the PICO Genesis enlighten III lightens skin pigmentation, it is also an industry leading tattoo removal system because it efficiently and quickly breaks down the ink particles. In an exciting break through, it can remove all ink colours on any skin type in fewer treatments than traditional tattoo removal technologies.
How does PICO Genesis work?
The unique feature of the PICO Genesis is its ability to provide ultra-short laser pulses. These laser pulses deliver a photo-mechanical shockwave that not only shatters the pigment but stimulates remodelling in the upper layers of the skin to safely achieve dramatic improvements.
What to expect from a treatment
The treatments take approximately 20 to 30 minutes. No skin preparation is required and it is a relatively painless procedure. Best of all, there is generally no downtime.
When will I see results?
Patients report dramatic improvements in skin clarity and reduction in pigmentation in two to three treatments. Dermal melasma may take slightly longer to treat.
It is important to wear sunscreen daily and to protect your skin from the sun after treatment. A medical grade skin care product that does not irritate the skin is also essential.
Who can be treated?
The good news is the PICO Genesis is designed for ALL skin types. Darker and Asian skin tones which have proven hard to treat with other lasers in the past, can be treated with the PICO Genesis.
The team of Doctors, Nurses and Dermal Clinicians at Australian Skin Face Body are pleased to be the first Skin & Laser Clinic in Victoria to offer the PICO Genesis enlighten III, the latest technology to revitalise your skin.
