Onda is especially recommended for the treatment of localised fat, cellulite and skin tightening and is the only body contouring system using patented Coolwaves®, special microwaves that selectively target fat cells to reduce fat deposits.

How does Onda body contouring work?

The Onda system handpieces generate microwaves at 2.45GHz, a frequency that is preferentially absorbed by fat molecules rather than by water molecules. The conductivity of the epidermis and the dermis, which contain plenty of water but not fat, is therefore much greater than the hypodermis’ one. Therefore, when the Coolwaves™ penetrate the skin, they pass straight through the top layers without overheating them (using about 20% of the energy from the microwaves), while they concentrate their effective action on the subcutaneous fat that highly absorbs them (about 80% of the energy). By contrast, traditional radio frequency systems (frequency range 0.1 – 40MHz) act only on the surface since highly absorbed by water molecules.

How is Onda different to other body sculpting procedures?

Onda revolutionises body contouring with Coolwaves® – these special waves accelerate fat cells metabolism and make fat cells sweat until they are gone! Reduce Localised Fat Coolwaves® heat the fat to temperatures up to 55 degrees to create greater fat reduction than other technologies. Coolwaves® penetrate deeply disrupting the membranes of subcutaneous fat cells. The lysate is subsequently drained off stimulating physiological metabolic processes. Localised abdomen fat and laxity is commonly treated along with the bra line, shoulder blades and anterolateral flank. The chin area may also be treated.  

Cellulite Reduction Coolwaves® effectively target the connective tissue between the adipose lobules in the more advanced stages of cellulite. Trochanter buttocks and thighs are commonly treated.  

Skin Tightening The non-surgical treatment to restore flabby tissues, with a reduction in skin laxity and an improvement in texture. Coolwaves® induce an immediate shrinkage of the collagen fibres in the dermis and stimulate the production of new collagen, making tissue more compact and toned. Arms, abdomen may be treated.

What can I expect during and after treatment?

Onda heats fat cells up to 55 degrees while keeping the skin cool and comfortable.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the area being treated, the number of treatments required to reach the desired results will vary.  Results are typically achieved in one to four treatments.
