What is a microdermabrasion?
A facial microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment.
Microdermabrasion can be a cost effective treatment for skin rejuvenation and can help with the early signs of ageing including pigmentation.
- improves skin texture
- evens out pigmentation
- unclogs pores
- skin clarity
- skin elasticity
How does microdermabrasion work?
Microdermabrasion uses a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand the skin. It removes the thicker, uneven outer layer of the skin which contains dead skin cells. When you remove this layer, the body interprets it as an injury and replaces the lost skin cells with new, healthy ones.
What can I expect during a microdermabrasion treatment?
A microdermabrasion takes around 30 minutes for the face.
Whilst the treatment may be a little uncomfortable, it should not hurt.
Your skin will be slightly red after the treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
We will discuss your treatment goals: these goals will determine the number of treatments you will need. A series of treatments may be done four weeks apart to your achieve desired result.
