How does Potenza work?Â
Potenza combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to create controlled micro-injuries and deliver RF energy into targeted layers of the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and supports collagen and elastin production, helping to promote tighter, firmer-looking skin.
Ultrafine needles create controlled channels in the skin while RF energy is delivered at selected depths. The resulting controlled thermal effect further stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes and collagen production.
The treatment can be customised according to your skin, treatment area and concerns. Potenza’s different RF modes and treatment settings allow our dermal team to tailor the treatment approach to your individual needs.
What can I expect during treatment?Â
Before treatment, the skin is assessed and a topical anaesthetic may be applied to improve comfort.
During treatment, patients may experience sensations of heat, prickling or discomfort as the needles and RF energy are delivered. Pinpoint bleeding can occur and is a normal possible part of the treatment.
Treatment time varies depending on the area being treated, with many treatments taking around 45 minutes.
Following treatment, the skin may appear red and feel warm or sensitive. Our dermal team will provide personalised post-treatment instructions, including advice about skincare and sun protection.
Is there downtime?Â
Downtime varies between individuals and according to treatment intensity. Some people may be able to return to normal activities the following day, while others may require additional recovery time. This will be discussed with you at consultation.
When will I see results?Â
The skin’s response to RF microneedling develops progressively as new collagen is produced. Improvements may become more noticeable over the following weeks and months.
The number of treatments recommended will depend on your skin concerns, treatment area, skin condition and individual goals. A series of treatments may be recommended for some patients.
What are the risks?Â
