Laser Hair Removal

Medical-grade laser hair reduction using the Clarity II system — a permanent reduction in hair growth.

Available at Geelong Ballarat

About the Treatment

Laser hair removal uses a beam of light that's absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle. The resulting heat damages the follicle, inhibiting further hair growth. ASFB uses the Clarity II system by Lutronic, which combines two laser wavelengths (755nm and 1064nm) that can be adjusted according to skin tone and hair type.

It's important to understand that laser hair removal, even medical grade, provides a permanent reduction in hair growth — not total, permanent removal.

Laser can only effectively treat hair that's in its active growth phase, which is why a course of sessions, spaced to align with the hair growth cycle, is needed rather than a single treatment. Laser hair removal generally works best on dark hair and lighter skin, though the Clarity II's technology allows treatment to be tailored across a broader range of skin tones. If you have fine or fair hair, your practitioner will assess your suitability at consultation.

Costs will be confirmed during your consultation, tailored to your treatment plan.
