About the Treatment

Laser tattoo removal works by directing laser light at the tattoo, which is absorbed by the ink particles and breaks them into smaller fragments. Your body's immune system then gradually clears these fragments over time. ASFB uses the PICO Genesis Enlighten III system, which combines two laser types to treat a broad range of ink colours and skin types.

How much a tattoo fades or clears depends on several factors — including ink colour, how deep the ink sits, and your individual skin. Black and red inks generally respond best; green, blue and purple are more difficult; yellow is typically the hardest colour to treat. Your practitioner will assess your specific tattoo and give you a realistic sense of the likely outcome at consultation, rather than promising complete removal upfront.

Each session typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, and a topical anaesthetic cream is usually applied 30 to 45 minutes beforehand to help with comfort.

Costs will be confirmed during your consultation, tailored to your treatment plan.
